It happened!

The first tight fair race supercross of the year, and it certainly was a very special one.

Christian Wimmer took first place in both the heat and main event of the Quad Open B/C race, which were his very first supercross wins ever, and what a thrill to have them back to back! Watch him rip this incredible holeshot in this video from the main event.

This guy will probably be embarrassed by me saying so, but Christian is a very hard working father, working a very laborious job, while simultaneously attending school. He built his motor himself and has been adding needed improvements to his quad when able. He had several setbacks, particularly involving a wrist injury last year and reinjuring it earlier this year. This trophy is not only about his excellent riding, it’s symbolic for how he has persevered through this season. It is a very proud moment for me to see him achieve this.

Carter Pollock got his first trophy of the year, taking second place. Look how he was reeling in Christian by the third lap! I don’t think it’s going to be long before we see him on the top of the podium either.

Trenton Borning rounded out the podium taking third place, which was also his first podium ever in Quad Open B/C class. Great job!

I’ll be on holiday but should be back participating in morning Motokazie practice on Saturday, August 8th. Round 10 races are that evening!
